"I didn't [have a lot of choice] actually," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "I was quite surprised by that."
Sutherland added that he "hadn't planned" on returning to television just two years after 24 wrapped.
"24 was an amazing experience," he insisted. "[But] I hadn't planned on doing another show as quickly as I did. 24 was the first time I had a real job. It was the first time in my life where every three months I wasn't panicked to death about how I was going to feed my kids."
Touch - from Heroes creator Tim Kring - was recently picked up for a second season by Fox. An online spinoff - titled Daybreak - has also been commissioned.

Kring recently revealed that Touch regular Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Clea) may not return for the second season.
"That character has come to an end," he said. "That's not to say that she can't fold back into the story, but that's not where we're heading."

I wouldve thought he could afford to feed his kids???!!! Failing that i'm sure his very sucessful dad could lend him a couple of mill to see him thru a couple of months...

I still maintain that The Sentinel was as close to being a 24 film without actually being about those characters.
