'Jersey Shore' gets premiere date, spin-off 'Snooki & JWoww' renewed

Jersey Shore has been given a premiere date for its upcoming sixth season.

The reality series will return on Thursday, October 4 at 10pm ET on MTV.

In the last season, viewers saw the gang returning to New Jersey after filming the fourth season in Italy.

Meanwhile, the show's spin-off Snooki & JWoww has officially been renewed for a second season.

The series follows best friends Snooki and JWoww living together in New Jersey.

Snooki - whose real name is Nicole Polizzi - is currently expecting her first child with fiancé Jionni LaValle, admitting recently that pregnancy has made her more responsible.
