'Smallville' exec hints at Chloe return

Smallville - Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan

The executive producer of Smallville has dropped more hints about the upcoming return of Chloe (Allison Mack).

The character, who last appeared in the tenth season premiere, will return in new episode, 'Collateral'.

"She comes back in a very cool and exciting way," Brian Peterson told Zap2it. "It's very true to who Chloe is and who she's becoming."

He added that Chloe's reunion with boyfriend Oliver (Justin Hartley) will be "very romantic".

Hartley himself added: "It's a really beautiful story. Well done by Allison, well-written and fun to be a part of."

The actor previously confirmed that Oliver and Chloe will "try to patch things up" following her mysterious disappearance.

Smallville returns to The CW on January 28 at 8/7c.
