Conrad confirms MTV series filming start date

Lauren Conrad has confirmed that her new MTV reality series will begin filming next week.

The former Hills star told Us magazine that last-minute preparations are currently under way before the new show starts production.

"Right now it's like music samples and picking lights," she said. "We start [shooting] in about a week. I'm excited. It's smaller this time, which is really great and most of the people I'm working with are most of my favourite people."

She continued: "It's going to focus on a clothing line I'm doing with two of my best friends, but it's also going to show all the other things that I do as well as the lifestyle."

Conrad warned that fans should not expect to see any of the on-screen fights that were typical of The Hills.

"This [show] is the other side. While we were filming, there was so much of our lives that we weren't allowed to show, and this is basically the rest," she said.

The reality star previously claimed that she has worked hard to achieve success.
