Bob Harper has said that he is looking forward to seeing what new trainer Anna Kournikova brings to The Biggest Loser.

The tennis professional and certified trainer will join Harper and fellow new trainer Dolvett Quince for the upcoming 12th season of the NBC weight-loss competition, which kicks off on Tuesday, September 20.

Speaking in a video on the Biggest Loser website, Harper said: "There is so much new stuff going on for season twelve!

"We have two new trainers and it's going to be a battle of the ages on top of all that. Old versus young versus the people in the middle. I don't think there will be a dull moment at the Biggest Loser house!"

"I think both Anna and Dolvett will be bringing something new and interesting in with their training," he said.

"I'm excited to see what Anna will be doing with the contestants because she is a world-class athlete. This girl knows what it's like to become an athlete and we try to teach these contestants to find their inner athlete."

The Biggest Loser's new season will feature a battle of the ages format which will see the contestants split into three teams based on their age. They will then have to choose which trainer they want to work with in the first episode depending on where they finish in the first challenge.

The Biggest Loser premieres Tuesday, September 20 at 8/7c on NBC.
