'Big Brother' season 14 cast unveiled - pictures

The individuals include a former member of the female metal band Kittie, an engineering student, a nurse and the owner of a mobile tanning salon.
The 12 new houseguests will also be joined by four former Big Brother players, who will play their own game for their own separate prize.
However, details of the four returning houseguests and their game are being kept under wraps until the season premiere.
Big Brother, which will see the houseguests battling it out for a $500,000 grand prize, premieres on CBS on July 12.
The 12 new houseguests are:
- Kara Monaco (29) - Orlando, Florida (living in Los Angeles) - Model
- JoJo Spatafora (26) - Staten Island, NY - Bartender
- Jenn Arroyo (37) - Brooklyn, NY - Musician/Former bass player for Kittie
- Ashley Iocco (26) - Pittsburgh, PA (living in West Hollywood) - Owner of a mobile spray tanning company
- Jodi Rollins (42) - Englewood, Colo. (living in Calipatria, Calif.) - Restaurant server
- Danielle Murphree (23) - Grant, Ala. (living in Tuscaloosa, Ala.) - Nurse
- Willie Hantz (34) - Vinton, La. (living in Dayton, Texas) - Tankerman
- Will Heuser (24) - Louisville, KY - Marketing consultant
- Ian Terry (21) - Pittsburgh, PA (living in New Orleans, La.) - Engineering student at Tulane University
- Frank Eudy (28) - Marion, Ark. (living in Naples, Fla.) - Unemployed
- Shane Meaney (26) - Bennington, Vt. - House flipper
- Joe Arvin (41) - Lexington, Ky. (living in Schererville, Ind.) - Chef

Big Brother USA 2012: Danielle Murphree (23) - Nurse from Grant, AL - " I am terrified of snakes, dying young, heights and never finding my true love."
I love that the US Big Brother is less about a freakshow, a house full of wannabes and people who are "mad" Often having very diverse and interesting people with regular occupations. It has a gameshow element, which essentially is what its supposed to be.
Mind you the UK one this year has been very good with the tasks.

They do have models. Kara was a playboy playmate a couple of years ago.half the contestants were recruited this year. The rumors right now of HGS coming back are Mike.Dan.Janelle and either Britany or Rachel. With Britany having the edge.

Interesting that the US version of Big Brother seems to be able to grasp the concept that the show should contain housemates who have "normal" occupations and are from different age groups, and doesn't need models, actors and minor celebrities like the UK version. Okay, there is a model and a former band member in it, but it's not the entire house.
