Police arrested three people at the Manhattan casting call for the next Tyra Banks series, while six people sustained injuries in the mini-riot.
According to the Daily Star, city mayor Michael Bloomberg said show executives should have asked for police assistance. "You've just got to, in advance, arrange for security," he said
Banks and the show's executive producer Ken Mok said they remained unsure of what triggered Saturday's event, which left the street littered with shoes and clothes.
"We are concerned by the events. We appreciate the efforts of the NYPD and will assist them in any way possible in this matter," a joint statement read.
