'Vampire Diaries' exec: 'Caroline has chemistry with everyone'

Kevin Williamson has opened up about the possibility of a Caroline and Stefan romance on The Vampire Diaries.

The executive producer revealed that the pair's relationship could develop into something more in the future, but for the moment he'd like to see them as friends.

"We touched on [their relationship] in the second season a little bit," Williamson told Entertainment Weekly.

"We always know it's there, and if anything, I yearn to see some more moments between them as friends."

He went on to say that Caroline (Candice Accola) has chemistry with everyone on the show, adding that it's difficult to satisfy all of the series' fans.

"There's a lot of shipping to do for her," Williamson said.

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8pm on The CW.
