The Magic Mike star, who plays Alcide Herveaux on the HBO series, revealed that he has been anticipating the events of the season five finale since he first joined the show.
"I've been waiting for three years for what happens to Alcide in the finale, so I'm very excited for fans to see that," Manganiello told The Insider.
"For me, it's a great ending," he continued. "I see it as the end of the third act for my character."
Manganiello went on to praise Robert Patrick, who plays Alcide's father in future episodes of the series, saying that the two have "great chemistry".
"He's awesome. I love him. He brings such a depth to the character," he said.
"It's one of these classic father/son relationships where they don't say a lot, but there is so much conveyed non-verbally," Manganiello continued. "You'll see what a really bad example of werewolves his father set for him and how that's made Alcide sees it as a curse."

I just can't see Robert Patrick as Alcide's dad, then again he is a good actor so he'll probably surprise me. As for the finale, I have no idea what's going to happen, it's been a while since I've read book 5 (not that it counts for anything in the tv version) so I'm going to enjoy going in blind. I just wish they'd hurry up and get Russell up and running, we've waited long enough and as we all know Waiting Suck!
