The actress said that her character Lauren Zizes, who last appeared in the season three premiere in September, has been dropped from the Fox series.
"It is what it is," she told The Insider. "Lauren's somewhere in that school, she's just not on camera or being talked about [laughs]. She's involved in activities that aren't televised.
"Of course I miss me on Glee. I miss everybody. I miss the fun experience that show is."
Asked if she was angry that the "major story" promised by Ryan Murphy had failed to materialise, Fink replied: "Glee is very much a fly by the seat of your pants [operation] in the way that best laid plans never quite come together.
"They have so many [characters] to take care of and I think once they made the decision that all these characters were going to graduate, it shifted the way this season was going to go."
It has been revealed that upcoming episodes of Glee's third season will feature a Whitney Houston tribute, a domestic violence storyline and a body swap twist.
Glee continues Tuesdays at 8/7c on Fox. UK viewers can watch it Thursdays at 9pm on Sky1.

I never liked her and never warmed to her. Her face and attitude to me was a bit spiteful with a huge chip on her shoulder, glad shes gone.

Alex Duffy Very true. I felt sorry for the guy whoever played Shane. He probably went in there, being like 'I'm a main character's boyfriend, I'm going to get a lot of screentime.' Nope. Even if Sam had come back, they could have made use of him a bit more. The one thing I've always wanted to see on Glee is a rendition of Tell Him and it turns out Mercedes, Rachel and Tina sang a version and they cut it. :( Yet, The Warblers got a song every episode. Oh well, it's just the writers giving thr fangirls what they want. Blaine was supposed to be a mentor to Kurt and in one episode said they were just friends, a few episodes later, they were kissing. Last summer, Ryan Murphy was casting a Joan Jett type character to play Santana's love interest and said Brittana wasn't happening but the fangirls wanted it so they got it. I'm convinced this new body swapping episode is just an excuse to pair Rachel and Quinn together as Santana and Brittany because the new obsession for fangirls is 'Faberry'. It's terrible writing like, to just give in to fans and lose your own vision but it's what Glee does now.

Emma Mc Carthy That's reminding me of something that annoyed me about Season Two - they seemed to pair random characters together. Artie and Brittany, Sam and Mercedes (although I kinda like them now), etc. The show is good at running some storylines but terrible at ending them well. They also seem to scrap an awful lot of stuff - e.g. Sue's Oklahoma! scene, Tina's early storyline (although I think they're bringing it back). It's not a good sign of storytelling. Naya and Heather seem close off-camera, but I think they worked better as close friends than as a couple.

Lauren was cool, but she didn't have a forced lesbian storyline, nor was her character going to be transgender... and she wasn't a gay man... plus they already had one larger girl... so she got dropped! Ugh... Kurt and Blaine are annoying and I preferred it when Brittany was with Artie and Santana was a ****. All-inclusive can be over-done!
