TVLine reports that Lohan is signing on to play herself in one of the season's final episodes.
Sources say that the Mean Girls actress will play a celebrity judge at the Nationals competition.
Whoopi Goldberg has also been announced as an upcoming guest star on the television musical, playing a professor from a prestigious New York Drama school.
If the deal goes through, it will mark Lohan's first return to a scripted television drama since appearing on Ugly Betty in 2008.
Lohan recently hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live. She is also currently in negotiations to play Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime TV movie.

Lindsay Lohan is an amazing actress. Just because she turned into a drug addict doesn't make any less of a good person. People lose their way, if it was a very close family member or friend, then you wouldn't judge. Drug problems are serious, she's trying to move on from it, so should you.

Didn't she make a big fuss when they joked about her time in jail in one of the Gwyneth Paltrow episodes?
