Minnie Driver 'would love Glee role'

Minnie Driver has confessed that she would love a role on Glee.

Driver, who appears in new musical movie Hunky Dory, explained that she has wanted to be on the Fox show for a long time.

"Oh, I've been trying to get on that show since, well... God knows," she told The Observer. "I know, I'm not scared to say it!"

Driver joked that Gwyneth Paltrow, who has starred on Glee as substitute teacher Holly Holliday, "stole [her] thunder", adding: "Oh s**t, that's the bloody headline, isn't it? But no, seriously, I wish it had been me."

Driver, who recently signed a deal with ABC, also revealed that she would love to return to television.

"I still want an Oscar, and to work with Danny Boyle and Martin Scorsese - of course I want all of that," she said. "But what I really, really want to do is another US TV series. I do. I want that life. I want a regular pay cheque. And I want to be able to know when I can pick up [my son] Henry from school."

Ricky Martin recently had a guest role in Glee, while Matt Bomer is due to play Blaine's brother in an upcoming episode.
