In an interview with The Huffington Post, Hilty revealed that she is a fan of Hudson and hopes that the two will have a chance to perform together on-screen during the star's stint on the show.
"I'm so excited. I'm such a huge fan of Jennifer's, and I can't wait. I'm hoping that we'll actually get to do a duet while she's with us. And everybody else is just fantastic," Hilty said.
"I secretly love the song 'No More Tears'. It's my go-to karaoke song that I do with all my friends. I'm sure they would never do it, but I would love to!"
McPhee recently revealed her own happiness at Hudson's Smash casting.
Hudson has said that the role is "the perfect opportunity", though she admitted that is slightly intimidated by the job.
