"We leave it that she certainly can come back, and it's certainly open [for her] to come back, but we're now in a very different place with a very different set of circumstances," Kring told Assignment X.
"If you look at season one as a whole, after seeing the season finale, you'll realise that really the season is about what's going to happen to Jake (David Mazouz) vis-à-vis this board-and-care facility that he's in and who is interested [in him].
"Gugu's character as the social worker... wraps that story up and becomes an integral part of his escape, and so that character has come to an end. That's not to say that she can't fold back into the story, but that's not where we're heading."
However, Kring confirmed that he plans for Avram (Bodhi Elfman) to return to the show.
"That's a different story, because he's very tied to the mythology and the serialised nature of the show," he explained. "We would love to have him back, and if we can make that happen, I have the intention to make that happen."
Maria Bello will be a series regular in season two of Touch, reprising her role as Lucy Robbins from the show's first season finale.

I don't know what these folks are thinking, as NO one mentioned the fact that Gugu would only be on for one season, she had excellent chemistry with Kiefer and the young actor who plays his son, and how about the ending where 'Martin' said he'd meet up with 'Clea' again??
Alright, I've got it now, so since she won't be returning then I'm out myself. Was good while it lasted, I'll buy Season 1 and keep watching that, but the rest of it NOT interested if she isn't there. Adios.

Gugu's past shows Bonekickers & Undercovers only lasted for one season so it would be ironic if she did not come back for the second season of Touch.
I mean was she meant to be a one season wonder for any show that she is in.
