'Homeland' reveals official season two poster - picture

Homeland has unveiled the official poster for its second season.

The moody image - featuring Carrie (Claire Danes) and Brody (Damian Lewis) - includes the tagline: "It Hits Home."

Homeland returns to Showtime in the US on September 30, with Channel 4 expected to air new episodes from October.



Exec producer Howard Gordon recently hinted that season two will continue to explore the "tragic love story" of unstable CIA operative Carrie and secret terrorist Brody, while Lewis has revealed that his character will be on an "accelerated political trajectory" in the new run.

Valerie Cruz (True Blood), Tim Guinee (The Good Wife) and Zuleikha Robinson (Lost) are among the new cast additions joining Homeland for season two.

Navid Negahban (Abu Nazir) and David Marciano (Virgil) have also been promoted to series regulars.
