Claire Danes pregnancy 'will not affect Homeland'

Homeland representatives have confirmed that Claire Danes's pregnancy will not affect the show.The actress - who plays leading character Carrie Mathison in the Showtime drama - announced that she is expecting her first child with Hugh Dancy earlier today (July 5).

The pregnancy was met with questions about whether the show would need a rewrite to include a possible baby for Mathison, or if Danes would need time off from filming.
However, an exec has reportedly confirmed that the show's script and production will not change.
A representative for Showtime told TVLine: "We anticipate no impact."
Homeland returns to Showtime on September 30.
