The actress's recurring character Rosalee Calvert will receive a bigger role in the NBC show's second season, according to TV Line.
It has been speculated that Turner's promotion will allow for more exploration into her backstory and her family of Fuchsbau.
Grimm, which also stars David Giuntoli and Russell Hornsby, was picked up for a second season back in March.
Speaking after the renewal, actor Silas Weir Mitchell said that he hopes to explore the "dangerous side" of his wolf-like character Monroe.
Grimm's first season airs on Fridays at 9pm on NBC in the US. In the UK. the show airs on Mondays at 9pm on Watch.

Been watching it myself. Its a great program and it really starting to get interesting now the main 'baddies in the background' shadowy undercurrent has started. With the attack on Monroe and the phone call to the police chief. Going to be interesting to see how it develops!
Grimm & Alcatraz are my two must watch programs at the moment. Here's hoping the both continue for at least four seasons!

Grimm is definately one of the best programmes on TV at the moment. It needs to be seen by more people so that a third season is confirmed. There have been a number of series of late that I've quite enjoyed which have then been cancelled at the end of the first season (No Ordinary Family is just one), so I'm really pleased that Grimm has been picked up for a second series. I just hope more prople watch it, because I'm sure that once you start to watch it, you'll soon grow to love it.
