'The Glee Project' to return this summer

The Glee spinoff show, which searches for new stars for Fox's musical comedy, will return to cable channel Oxygen in the summer of 2012.
Premiering last summer, Samuel Larsen and Damian McGinty were crowned joint winners of the reality series, and won the chance to appear in a seven-episode storyline.
McGinty, who plays Rory, recently earned an extended stay on Glee.
Creator Ryan Murphy and Dante Di Loreto will continue as executive producers
The Glee Project is a special show that has tapped into a desire in our culture to watch people go for and achieve their dreams," said Oxygen Media's President Jason Klarman in a statement.

As much as I like the idea of this, I wonder where all the new winners are going to fit in, especially if the graduating cast will remain on the show as announced.

Why has Rory earned an extended stay? He has the personality and acting/singing prowess of a wooden mannequin.
