According to TVLine, CBS executives have renewed the sitcom series after its first season without star Charlie Sheen. This comes after cast members signed on with Warner Bros. to extend their contracts on the show.
Sheen left the show last year after entering rehab due to problems with drugs and alcohol.
Ashton Kutcher then signed on to join the cast members Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones as irresponsible billionaire Walden Schmidt.
In its ninth season, the programme averaged around 15 million viewers, up 13% from its eighth season.
CBS has yet to announce whether underperforming shows like CSI: NY, A Gifted Man, and Rules of Engagement will return next season.

I agree with Dubcek. Cryer is very good but Kutcher doesn't make me laugh at all. He doesn't interest me and I don't think his acting is very subtle. He seems to rely on the same half-a-dozen facial expressions and occasional nudity. The writing has gone downhill. They should kill off Kutcher and try a new angle.

I don't understand the hate Two and a Half Men is getting. Yes Charlie was BRILLIANT on the show, in fact he made it what it is. But in the end the show moved on and it is still working! The writing is still great, it is still hilarious and enjoyable to watch and although there isn't as much 'sex with strange women' and all the other Charlie antics it makes sense without it because Ashton's character Walden is not Charlie! Charlie Harper was a man who was afraid of commitment, loved to drink, lived the bachelor life style and had sex with strange women because it was who he was! Walden is a childish internet billionaire who is trying to get on with his life after leaving his Ex-Wife. Completely different character so you can't compare them in the same league at all!!!

DS needs to implement its own 'like' button if they're not gonna let us use Facebook's!
Because I agree with you.

This rubbish has been renewed for another season while Firefly was cancelled after 13 episodes. Proof that TV executives are morons.

Am pleased. I have much preferred this season with Kutcher than the last few seasons that Sheen was in.

That's unfortunate, Kutcher adds nothing to the show, it's now Jon Cryer's show and he can't carry it.
They should have let it die a natural death after they fired Sheen but they are trying to squeeze every last nickel out of it.

Obviously you're wrong given that it is now more successful than it was before.

That's only because people check it out to see if has improved thus the big numbers and sadly it hasn't.

Ummmm what?! I am fairly confident that isn't why people watched it!
