star Aaron Paul
has revealed that his character Jesse will be in a "very dark place" in future episodes.
Paul told TV Guide
that Jesse is still struggling with his life despite becoming sober.
"It's almost playing a different character, but within the same person," he said.
"This show is about change, and all the characters are kind of morphing into different parts of themselves. And this season it's just so much - they're so in over their heads and it's so much darker."
He continued: "Some things go down that put Jesse in a very dark place, a place we've really never truly seen Jesse go down before. He's just over it. It was his boiling point. He has lost everything, and there's not really [a] point to any of this any more."
Paul added that Jesse is tempted to take drugs again but is feeling too "guilty" about the death of his girlfriend Jane (Krysten Ritter) at the end of the last season.
However, he suggested that Jesse will eventually discover that Walt (Bryan Cranston) watched Jane die without trying to save her.
"Questions will be answered by the end of the season," Paul said. "But what's truly great about this show is you never really see what's coming next. If you think you know what's going to happen, something quite the opposite will happen."Breaking Bad
continues Sundays at 10/9c on AMC.
