> Fox execs: 'Terra Nova is very ambitious'
The decision has apparently been taken so early to allow a second season of the drama to start in the fall if it is picked up elsewhere.
Series star Jason O'Mara, who plays Jim Shannon, said late last year that Fox had deferred the decision on a second run of Terra Nova until early 2012, adding that he remained optimistic about the prospects of renewal.
Shelley Conn also told Digital Spy that she was hopeful about a potential second season of Terra Nova, saying: "We're so invested that it would break my heart if we didn't get another chance at this.
"I just think everybody's worked so hard and we've created something that deserves to be continued."

Maybe TNTcould pick it up? Or SyFy? Would have to be a big budget cut if it did I imagine. Seeing the CGI they ended up with it looked no better than This is Jinsy in places. Green screen hell, weak storylines and more cheese. Reminds me of oral sex. Sounded like fun but in actually fact it is quite messy and leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.

Robert Douglas have you any idea what your talking about? Have a look at Wikipedia;
Terra Nova;
"The average episode budget was about $4 million, not including Australian tax breaks,[4][16] compared to an average of $3 million for broadcast network dramas"
"In an unusual decision, Fox skipped ordering just a pilot, and instead immediately ordered thirteen episodes."
"Terra Nova was expected to premiere in May 2011 with a two-hour preview, but due to the time involved for visual effects, its pilot was moved to autumn (late September) 2011 to air with the rest of season one"
" FOX aired the entire first season consecutively on Monday nights"
Your arguement is valid for a lot of Sci fi, Robert Douglas, but not this one.
