"I kind of wish he would do more television interviews so that people can see what he's really like, because there is so much hate for Joffrey, I feel protective of Jack now," Turner told Vulture.
"If I were him, I'd be petrified that people would come up and slap me on the street!" she continued. "I should be his bodyguard."
The 16-year-old went on to say that people on set often try to make her laugh while she is shooting the torture scenes.

"The way I stop myself from going into a depressed stage during those scenes is that the other actors and the crew all try to keep me happy," Turner said. "Like in season one, when I had to beg for mercy for my father? That's when Conleth [Hill, who portrays Varys] decided to pull a few faces at me, to distract me.
"And Peter [Dinklage, who plays Tyrion], every time I work with him, I can't help but be inspired and think, 'Wow, what a great actor'," she concluded.
A list of new characters to join the third season of the HBO series was unveiled earlier this week.
The season finale of Game of Thrones airs this Sunday (June 3) at 9pm on HBO.

I hate Jeoffrey like no other TV character ever before but at the same time I have a lot of repsect for the young actor to create such a response. People who can't see the difference between a fictional character and the actor portraying it are morons.

Joffrey is a vile coward, I don't think I've ever hated a TV character so much. That is why Jack Gleeson is such a good actor in my book. Such a talented lad.

It goes to show that he's a decent young actor. If he's hated so much, it shows he's applying his trade well.

Sophie is very good. I didn't realise she is only 16.
