After a bad audition, judge LA Reid was heard saying: "If you decide to try out again, please do it on another show."
Cowell allegedly then quipped: "Yes, the good news is I hear the Voice auditions are happening next week."
The Voice, which stars coaches Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton, has proven a formidable opponent to both American Idol and The X Factor.
Successful spinoffs in the UK and Australia have also been launched, while Cowell's shows have been plagued by dwindling ratings.
Britney Spears recently signed a multi-million dollar deal to judge on The X Factor in the hopes that her star power might boost viewership.
The X Factor USA returns this fall.

Anything for attention. Pathetic.

Another pathetic remark from Simon Cowell & his team. I had the up most respect for him for achieving what he has but he has lot all my respect since he has got there for his very sort of thing. Him & his shows will do or say anything to get media attention but the reality is The Voice wipes the floor with his show. Note the only one spouting their mouths off are X-Factor judges both sides of the Atlantic. Cowell, in the US, & his puppet Louis Walsh, in the UK, should concentrate on sorting out their own shows rather than make snide remarks about others because the ratings certainly show they need to.

I think The Voice coaches, particularly in the UK, have made their fair share of snide remarks on The X Factor. But this particular comment from Simon wasn't necessary.

R u kidding me? First I loved X Factor, then I hated it, then I loved the Voice, then got bored, started agreeing with Simon slightly, then found out Cowell didn't sign Take That 'cause Gary Barlow was a bit chubby, lost respect for Barlow for accepting X Factor (after Cowell's previous rejection) and lost respect for Cowell - it's still clear that looks are still a big thing for him, despite Adele, the new big star, being absolutely massive (in all respects :P)...and now I just can't be asked to watch any of this crap. Enough of this reality tv crap. Probably live longer!

Can these pathetic spats between shows stop already?
Britain's got talent and The Voice UK and now we've got the distinct pleasure of The X Factor USA and The Voice USA and it's mostly Cowell calling the two Voice shows rubbish.
I don't know why I still read these...
