The 52-year-old promised that the show will be different when it returns for its second season, saying that he has finally been able to make the creative decisions he wanted for the series.
"[It will be] different, better and more controversial," Cowell told Entertainment Tonight.
"It will be the show I've always wanted to make, and now I have the ability to do it," he said.
He went on to talk about what he learned from the show's first season.
"I think what I learned is that you need Americans to host the show," Cowell said. "I think that Paula and my relationship was too reminiscent of Idol."

It's not that you need an American host, but that you need a chief exec / producer who's not such as massive egomaniac as Simon and has to make everything about him.

You mean more "controversial" then using 13 year olds and breaking their hearts in front of the whole of the USA? How much power do you want Simon Cowell? You work for Fox....

Just as BGT goes head to head with voice! You won Simon. BGT had more viewers! Funny how all his shows have publicity around the time air!
