Simon Cowell's new talent contest, which had been postponed after Wednesday's delayed baseball match, continued with a 3.6 18-49 demo rating - its lowest so far.
However, X Factor still led Fox to another Thursday night victory.
CBS's Big Bang Theory dipped to a season low of 13.3m (4.4) at 8pm, after which a repeat of the sitcom - replacing Rules of Engagement for one week only - fetched 12m (3.7).
The Tiffany Network's 9pm showing of Person of Interest picked up 11.9m (2.7), and 12.3m (2.5) watched The Mentalist an hour later.
On NBC, Community, Parks & Recreation and The Office climbed to 3.8m (1.7), 4m (2.1) and 6.1m (3.2), but then Whitney and Prime Suspect fell to 4.2m (2.0) and 4.5m (1.3).
Meanwhile, Charlie's Angels, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice all rose to 6m (1.3), 9.7m (3.4) and 6.7m (2.4) respectively for ABC.
Elsewhere, The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle grabbed 2.8m (1.4) and 1.8m (0.8).

I am enjoying this far more than our version. Sat night showed there are only three half decent acts in it.
They need to change the format. Categories don't work they even had a shortage of groups in the USA.
Panels consist of records buyers and talent scouts should chose who goes through. Forget the mentors they always pick crap songs that don't suit the singers voices. Simon has lost interest already. He owns the format so that's why we are stuck with it. I prefer American Idol and we should bring that back here.
I am also fed up with people voting for people and then abandoning them when it comes to buying CD's.
I think there should be a You Tube talent show.

As ive said from the start ... Cheryl should have stayed put and Nicole should have replaced Steve... I just dont get it at all. I wonder will Simon stick to his word that if it didnt work this year he would drop it next year!

I agree! it's badly edited and steve jones just doesn't work as a host. They should replace nicole with Kelly rowland!

Do the Americans watch the show the same way we do in Ireland, as in 3 episodes one after the other! Cause if so I would say that's why the haven't taken to it! Its badly edited and if I'm honest its no where near as good as the UK! Paula and Nicole ain't great and I'm a huge Nicole fan...Steve Jones is s total flop! I don't think its got any of its WOW factor it had when it lauched in the UK!
