'X Factor' USA judges - Promo pictures

X Factor USA has been tantalizing us with details about its debut season over the past few days, so what better time to take a look at some promotional photographs of the all-star panel?Judges Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and L.A. Reid can be seen in the publicity pictures for Cowell's new singing competition alongside host Steve Jones.
X Factor premieres over two nights on Wednesday, September 21 and Thursday, September 22 on Fox, and the winner will receive a record-breaking $5 million recording contract with Sony Music/Syco.

X Factor will premiere with footage from its record-breaking auditions in LA, Miami, Seattle, Newark, Chicago and Dallas earlier this year, alongside performances from the YouTube and MyStudio booth auditions, before the Boot Camp stage begins and the judges discover which category they will be mentoring.
The competition was open to all individual singers and groups from the age of 12 years old and upwards. The categories are: young guys, young girls, older singers and groups. The Boot Camp stage will be followed by Judges' Homes, with the finalists being revealed on Tuesday, October 25. The live shows begin on Wednesday, November 2.

Mariah Carey is also rumoured to play a part in X Factor, with Cowell recently saying that the singer wanted to be involved from the start. He did not clarify what role the star would play, but did say: "You can't say no to Mariah. We have to find a role for her. I'm a huge fan of hers, not just as an artist, but as a person, and I love her to death."
In addition to the $5 million recording contract prize, the winner of X Factor will also appear in a Super Bowl commercial for Pepsi. Last year's Super Bowl broadcast was the most-watched show in US television history, with an average of 111 million viewers tuning in. Super Bowl XLVI will air live on Sunday, February 5 2012 on NBC

Jack. This is X Factor USA. Most Americans think that Buckingham Palace is one tube stop from the Eiffel Tower. It's not even worth trying to explain the difference between Wales, England and the UK. They just won't get it!
