Peter Roth told TV Line that he isn't sure whether the Maggie Q drama will return for a third season.
"I don't know," he said. "I think it's too soon to tell."
Roth revealed that he has seen every episode of the series, describing it as "spectacularly well-produced" and calling the cast "fantastic" and "amazing".
"The production values are brilliant," he said. "The storytelling is remarkable. [But] the ratings are somewhat challenged."
Stars including Fame's Erica Gimpel, All My Children actor William deVry and 24's Sarah Clarke have had guest roles in the second season of Nikita.
The show airs on Fridays at 8/7c on The CW.

I love the show! I'd die for a third season!

I hope they bring it back.

You don't know anyone who watches Nikita, so it must be a terrible show undeserving of a second season?
Idiot.

It's such a great show, but the promotion has been horrible! I hope it gets renewed, but given the ratings I'm not holding my breath.

I watch Nikita and it is a fantastic show even with alot of twist and turns. It keeps the viewer on their toes to figure out what will happen next. This show is one of the CW/Warner Bros best shows yet.
