'Fringe' John Noble on final season: 'It's a war with the Observers'

Fringe star John Noble has described the final season's set-up as a "war" scenario.The Fox sci-fi drama's fifth run will return to the future world of 2036, as first glimpsed in season four's 'Letters of Transit'.

"It's a war, so all of us will be damaged getting there," Noble said of the last episodes, which will see the show's heroes battling the sinister Observers.
The 63-year-old actor further told TV Guide that his character Walter Bishop is not "a whole man" in the future, suffering from memory loss and a bad temper.
"He's damaged to some degree and will be further damaged," Noble explained. "He needs to find a way to go back and gather everything he knows to reclaim his memory [and] use that to resolve the issue that we have with this common enemy."
Noble's co-star Leonard Nimoy recently criticised the lack of Emmy recognition awarded to Fringe, calling the snub "ridiculous".
"So much talent, so much hard work, so much imagination," the Star Trek actor lamented.
The final season of Fringe premieres on September 28 on Fox in the US. It will air in the UK on Sky1.

It has alway been a war with the Observers. Goes back to when we are shown when Walternate got distracted by September when his cure worked for Peter, that triggered 'our' Walter to know and fight them with William Bell...Just no time travel jumping back and forth next season as its been milked with universe jumping last few seasons!

It is a shame that so much old footage is in the trailer but in their defence it was shot to persuade Fox to give a final season, then released last Sunday - filming of the final season only started on Wednesday.

From What i gather they havn't filmed much yet, there is a few clips in that trailer that where filmed especially for it.
