The duo take over presenting duties from Ricky Gervais, who has helmed the Hollywood Foreign Press Association event for the past three years.
"Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year's festivities is a major coup," said NBC's president of alternative programming Paul Telegdy.
"Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama."

Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Aida Takla-O'Reilly added: "The unparalleled comedic timing of Tina and Amy will surely have viewers wanting to tune-in to see them in action.
"The HFPA is thrilled to have the magnetic duo be a part of the show's 70th anniversary!"
Fey, who presented an award at this year's Oscars, recently signed a new deal to develop shows for NBC following the conclusion of 30 Rock, which wraps up at the end of its current season.
Meanwhile, Poehler, who announced her split from comedy actor Will Arnett last month, can currently be seen in Parks and Recreation's fifth season on the same network.

I want to go to there.
Really, though, this is everything I ever wanted. Give the Golden Globe for best Comedy Actress to Amy and it'll be the perfect night.
