"I have had a couple of minutes with Marvel since Avengers and they have the screenplay [for the TV pilot]," he told MTV.
"We're waiting for a particular writer to do a rewrite on the pilot. That's where we are right now. But we're still on."
Del Toro also voiced his appreciation of Joss Whedon's Avengers movie, which saw Mark Ruffalo assume the role of Bruce Banner/The Hulk.
"I think Avengers is beautiful," he said. "[They gave] a movie like that - that size, that scope - to a guy that has the tone and the pulse of those things dead on."
ABC president Paul Lee announced back in May that the Hulk TV series will likely form part of the network's 2013 schedule.

How would you all feel about the new series being a loose sequel to the original series? would Marvel have a problem with it?
If they did a loose sequel now they'll probably reveal that Banner didn't die from the fall instead went into deep hibernation, the down side it would lack any supporting characters or villains from the comics and use only the continuity of the Bixby/ Ferrigno show.

Because there is a very high chance that the show will be rubbish?
