According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show's June 28 debut is the most-watched scripted comedy broadcast in cable history, excluding children's programming.
The debut managed to take in 5.47 million viewers, while a second episode at 9.30pm averaged a total of 5.74 million viewers.
If future episodes of the series meet undisclosed ratings goals, it stands to receive a 90-episode order for future seasons.
Anger Management airs Thursdays at 9.30pm on FX.

It's not even the best comedy on FX, that title belongs to It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
It only broke records because it's Charlie Sheen, not because of anything else. Interest will die down soon enough.

I liked it! It had the feel of the first few seasons of Two and a Half Men - warm, funny and just off the wall enough to be interesting. They've made a big play about this Charlie being different to Charlie (and Charlie!) and it works.

Based on the first two episodes alone, I see nothing interesting. The only part of the two episodes I found funny was the opening 30 seconds. Hopefully it gets a lot better once it finds its feet.

I liked it. I laughed a couple of times. I expect that once it gets into its natural flow and everyone is comfortable in the roles that the laughs will start coming more frequently too.
