The 44-year-old rose to fame with his role as Joey on the NBC show, which also starred Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry.
LeBlanc recently returned to television on the BBC Two and Showtime comedy Episodes, in which he plays himself.
When asked if would be open to a TV reunion with his Friends castmates, the actor told Entertainment Weekly: "I don't want to see old Joey."
The television star went on to explain that a reunion wouldn't work because it wouldn't capture what the series was about.
"That show was about a finite period of time," LeBlanc said. "Before you got married and went off to start your life with a family. It was that magical time that everyone can relate to. To see what we're all doing now… I'd rather imagine that."
Leblanc also admitted that letting down fans of the show is a huge deterrent.
He added: "Everyone's going to have different vision of what those characters are like, so to have that materialise is going to disappoint most people.
"A couple of people will go, 'That's what I thought!' but for the most part it's going to let people down. It's better to let them just think."
Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow have also ruled out a Friends reunion in the future.

The problem with a Friends reunion is that it would be exactly that - a reunion. You'd have a single movie or maybe an episode or two made where they all meet up again and reminisce over old stuff from the series which has already been done to death. There wouldn't be a real opportunity for such a special to get into it's own stride with new storylines and plots like the old series used to have.
I don't even think a reboot with recast characters would really work - a far better idea would be for there to be a spin-off 'next generation' type thing featuring an all-new group of characters with their own adventures to be had, but that sort of thing was already attempted with Joey and it didn't exactly match the standard of the main show.
