Jerry O'Connell on 'Munsters' reboot 'Mockingbird Lane': 'It's darker'

Jerry O'Connell has opened up about his role in NBC's upcoming Munsters reboot series Mockingbird Lane.O'Connell, who will play Herman Munster, commented that Mockingbird Lane will have a different tone to its zany 1960s predecessor.

"It's gonna be completely different… It's a little darker than the original. It really is," the actor hinted.
O'Connell went on to reveal that Mockingbird Lane will feature the latest in "cool special effects".
He added: "I can't wait for people to see it."
Eddie Izzard has also joined Mockingbird Lane to play Grandpa Munster, a role originated by Al Lewis on the classic series.
Mason Cook of Spy Kids 4 fame has been cast as Eddie Munster and Portia de Rossi is to portray Lily Munster.
The original Munsters series aired from 1964 to 1966 on CBS.
