NBC will air one half-hour episode and the 60-minute continuation on the same night during the May sweeps, The Futon Critic confirms.
The season finale of 30 Rock will air in between the two Community episodes.
Moving Community into sweeps week means that Jason Isaacs drama Awake will be partially pushed out of the schedule. Rather than the two-hour finale it was scheduled to have, the series - which has received critical acclaim but disappointing ratings - will now air its final episode on May 24.
Joel McHale recently dropped hints about a fourth season for the show, which has long been considered in danger of cancellation.
Community airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on NBC. In the UK, the series airs on Tuesdays at 10.30pm on Sony Entertainment Television.

The most underrated 'overrated'(by critics) comedy from the US that is still underrated (by viewing numbers). Had more hope for a 4th season of this than I had for a 5th season of Fringe 3 days ago...All the shows I care to watch are renewed or are no brainers for being renewed except Community atm. Shows like Alcatraz and Awake can get axed for being so gimmicky (being very weak on their gimmick & being no different to 4400 & all 'The next LOST' shows for Alcatraz plus other done cops shows for Awake).
