Created by Stephen Carpenter, Jim Kouf and Angel's David Greenwalt, Grimm follows homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), a Grimm descendant who wards off supernatural beings from the world.
Grimm is the first NBC show to be picked up for another season, reports TVLine.
The series, which is inspired by the Grimms' Fairy Tales from brothers Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm, also features David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz and Reggie Lee.
Greenwalt previously said of his series: "Most fairytales actually involve some kind of a crime or a horror. Like in Cinderella, her sisters actually have their eyes pecked out by birds.
"We try to find the crime, then turn the fairytale on its head."

I gave up on this after about eight episodes, it just did not grab me. On the other hand I love Once Upon a Time and think that is a much better thought out show.

Brilliant! It's about time a network showed some faith in their shows and let them grow. I'm loving this series, both Buffy and Angel had shaky first series but then settled in nicely and I think this is going to be the same.
