Danny Glover to guest star on 'Leverage'

Danny Glover will make a special guest appearance on the new season of TNT's drama series Leverage.

Glover will star in the fifth episode of the upcoming fourth season, which is due to launch on the channel this summer.

The actor will star as a retired war hero, who comes into possession of a piece of art which is at the centre of the episode's mystery.

"We get involved to try to help him recover it," Leverage star Aldis Hodge told TV Line, regarding Glover's character.

The actor also teased that Glover's appearance will see a huge departure for the series, as the episode in question will be narrated by his character.

"We see the majority of the story through his eyes," he added.

Glover has made a number of television appearances in recent years, including extended appearances on both Brothers & Sisters and ER , but is best known for his role as Detective Roger Murtaugh in the Lethal Weapon film series.

Glover recently spoke out in defence of his Lethal Weapon co-star Mel Gibson over the actor's recent personal troubles, despite refusing to make any comment on the situation for the past year.

Leverage returns for its fourth season on June 26.
