The show, which sees Morgan interviewing a celebrity about their life, has previously featured guests including Simon Cowell, Gordon Brown, Dannii Minogue and Joan Collins.
The Sun reports that Morgan is now in negotiations with NBC about taking the programme to the States.
"Barbara [Walters] has just semi-retired, and I think there is an opportunity there for me," Morgan said. "I do one-on-ones, like Barbara Walters. I am not an entertainment talkshow, late night kind of guy. It is more biographical interviews.
"I have the number one talkshow in England. Certainly, NBC thinks it is the time to try to do something."
Meanwhile, NBC's Paul Telegdy said: "We like Piers because he has a very sort of direct manner. He doesn't sugarcoat anything."
Morgan is already known to US audiences in his role as a judge on America's Got Talent.
