has revealed that a forthcoming death on Melrose Place
will be a "shocker" for viewers.
The 23-year-old, who plays bisexual
schemer Ella Simms on The CW
update, hinted that a major death will transpire at the infamous Los Angeles-based apartment complex.
She told E!
: "I can't tell you! But I think everyone's going to be surprised. [The death] is a shocker, but at the same time, it's really good."
Cassidy went on to speak about the return
of Heather Locklear's Amanda Woodward character.
The actress revealed that the 47-year-old has been brought aboard the reboot as the new boss of the PR firm where Ella works. Her first scene will show her unceremoniously firing Caleb (Victor Webster), the current head executive of the company, on the November 17 episode.
Cassidy, who previously admitted that her part will be "intimidated"
by her new boss, added: "With Amanda being the boss of the whole company, Ella would like to be in her shoes at some point."
Co-star Ashlee Simpson-Wentz recently said
that the remake will feature many surprising plotlines. Melrose Place
airs Tuesdays at 9pm on The CW.
