Barton in talks for 'Melrose Place' remake?

According to Access Hollywood, the actress has begun negotiations to join the network's reboot of the popular 1990s soap.
A source close to the star said that she was "excited about the possibility".
The 23-year-old last appeared on the small screen in Fox's teen series The OC, playing Marissa Cooper from 2003 until 2006.
The CW has refused to comment.
Earlier this week, former Supernatural actress Katie Cassidy and The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants actor Michael Rady became the first confirmed cast members for the drama pilot.
