The explosive promo features multiple models of the Time Lord's old enemy, including variations from the 1960s and '70s, plus the Special Weapons Dalek from 1988.
Series seven of Doctor Who will launch later this month with opening episode 'Asylum of the Daleks'. The first five episodes will be followed by the 2012 Christmas special and a further eight episodes in 2013.
Gillan and co-star Arthur Darvill (Rory) will depart the sci-fi drama in the New York-set episode five, which will feature the return of the monstrous Weeping Angels.
A trailer for the new series is expected to debut online today (August 2) at 6am and will air on BBC One tonight.

I think the dalek episodes are always the strong ones in any series they are so iconic its wonderful to see them come back in this powerful way. Glad that the new daleks look like they have been decommissioned by moffat. Russell t davies hestitated from using the daleks in his final episode because moffat then wanted to use them in his next series and asked for them to be left out but I think the last of the time lords would have been more powerful with the daleks in there. They are very handy to a story given their history and I think could be quite meanacing under moffats hand.

They're overused. They'll be stacking shelves in tesco before long they've become that unthreatening.
