New footage from the show's upcoming series - the last to feature Gillan and Darvill - will also premiere at the event.
Doctor Who will return to BBC One and BBC America in August. The first episode, 'Asylum of the Daleks', will be screened for the first time at BFI Southbank in London on August 14.
Dame Diana Rigg, Rachael Stirling, David Warner (Titanic), Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones), Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife) and Dougray Scott will all make guest appearances in the new series.
Other new additions to the San Diego Comic-Con event include a Fringe panel to celebrate the sci-fi show's upcoming final season and a Buffy the Vampire Slayer retrospective to salute the franchise's 20th birthday.

Thanks for that James, Ben Browder should be bigger news. I also remember the End Of Time trailers being shown for the first time in America , I had to rely on mobile phone footage on Youtube 2 days later!

I noticed that DS failed to mention in the above article that Farscape's Ben Browder also appears in the new series of Doctor Who.

It amazes me how some people get upset that the SDCC get some advanced footage, fans like myself got to see advanced series 7 footage at the official doctor who convention, whether you like it or not the SDCC is probably one of the biggest events on the planet and its only right that fans attending get a updated trailer or preview clip! I'm sure many international fans will be peeved that BFI Southbank are getting to see the first episode long before anyone else.

And someone will film it and put it online anyway

It's a very nice episode title- but from what I've seen on footage and photos it could be a car crash of a story. And now it sounds like the promotions gone down the pan - advertising in America majorly instead of Britain where the show originally comes from. It's either the fact that they are being selfish or our country dosen't give a damn about it anymore, thanks to the last series anyway.

Or it's most likely due to the fact that trailers for the series usually don't air until at least a month or so before the series actually begins.
