"[I enjoyed] various incarnations, and [it was] sort of sporadic, although I'm told that I should really get back into it, because it's been a radically reinvented franchise," he told Digital Spy.
"I guess the guy that's now in charge [Steven Moffat] is quite brilliant, so I'm curious to see [what it's like]."
Asked if he would consider a guest role on the BBC series, Wyle said: "Sure, I never turn down work!"
The 41-year-old admitted that science fiction was never his "go-to genre", but added that he enjoys sci-fi "when it's done really well".
"I certainly grew up right there with Star Wars and Star Trek... Close Encounters and films like that," he revealed. "When science fiction is metaphorical storytelling for something else, I tend to enjoy it more."

That line, right there, shows just how much he loved the show.

So an American into SCI FI wants to be on the 'only' native English language Sci Fi programme worth watching and that exists. All American SyFy is .... thoroughly absent and anything they start, ends before it gets off the drawing board. Since MGM killed the Star Gate Franchise, all they can do is the same old small town sheriff with geeks or fairy tales etc. ReHash, ReHash, ReHash and SOSDD.

Sorry, keep the Americans out of this show.

Noah would be far better than all the Dorky Brits they've had playing the role in the last 3 iterations, that's for sure.

So he's heard of the show, and would take a job if offered. How is this a story? It would seem most actors would say pretty much the same thing.

Totally agree, it seems you can't come on here without seeing Actor ABC would like a role in XYZ, all gets very tedious..perhaps their agents pay to get these stories online in the hope the shows producers take notice and give them a job!
