'Doctor Who' Amy, Rory final episode to be filmed in New York

The final Doctor Who episode featuring Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will be filmed in New York.

The shooting location was confirmed at the official Doctor Who convention in Cardiff by executive producer Caroline Skinner.
The fifth episode of the seventh series will be the last to feature the characters of Amy Pond (Gillan) and Rory Williams (Darvill).
It will also mark the return of the Weeping Angels, with showrunner Stephen Moffat teasing: "Not everybody gets out alive - and I mean it this time!"
Jenna-Louise Coleman was unveiled as the new Doctor Who companion earlier this week, with her debut scheduled for Christmas.

Best news so far this year. The programme was getting too much the Amy Pond show rather than Dr Who. Amy was good but she was in it for too long. problem

Chris Amos Am not too bothered where they film it, it was still set in new york. Also some parts of the episode were filmed in new york but without the actors. Overall though still saying it was an awful episode and hope its in no way similar.

yep 5 weeks with Amy and Rory then a solo week and then the Christmas Special with the new assistant and then 7 episodes in the New Year. Then do not forget they are now also planning the 50th anniversary episodes for next November/December (which will form part of series 8 - again split over Autumn and Winter)

They didn't film that in New York. It was sets and a Park somewhere in Wales with CGI! Arizona, last season, was the first time that teh New Doctor Who series has ventured overseas. In the Original run the last overseas adventure was set in Seville (The Two Doctors - Patrick troughton and Colin "6th Doctor" Baker)
