'Merlin' series five start date revealed

Merlin will return to BBC One on Saturday, October 6 at 7.45pm.The series will premiere with the first half of a two-parter titled 'Arthur's Bane'.

Series five will see the return of regular cast members Colin Morgan (Merlin), Angel Coulby (Gwen), Bradley James (Arthur), Katie McGrath (Morgana) and Richard Wilson (Gaius).
Co-creator and executive producer Johnny Capps also revealed at Comic-Con that Anthony Head will reprise his role as Uther Pendragon as a guest star.
Game of Thrones star Liam Cunningham was confirmed to join the cast back in April, while John Bradley will play a character named Tyr Seward.

Our town has a carnival that night which clashes with the show so I have to miss it :( I'll be Sky +'ing it though :P

Can't wait. The show has improved every series, and I have high hopes for this one being the best yet!

Yes I love Merlin and Dr Who and can't wait after the ponds leaving this week . I agree as Merlin tells a continuous story I hope it is longer than 6 episodes .

Back on the date I suspected and can't wait for it to start.

Hallelujah; my fav English show.... I see on imdb that mordred is returning but with a different actor :-( #iloveasabutterfield.

They explained a while ago that they had to recast the role as Asa was no longer available.
