Earlier in the programme, he performed a cover of Jimmy Cliff's 1969 track 'Many Rivers to Cross' and sang with his coach on a version of the popstar's hit 'Nobody's Perfect'.
After host Holly Willoughby revealed which of the four contestants would not be progressing to win The Voice UK, a disappointed Kidd said: "It's been a fantastic experience - I've learnt a lot. It's been fantastic working with [Jessie J], and the other contestants are fantastic.
"I'm ready to go now - I've got my album done, now hopefully I'll get to release it."
Jessie J also paid tribute to the singer, saying: "A winner is a winner before they win, and sometimes winning isn't everything. The journey is way more important than where you end up. This young gentleman here is such an inspiration, and he is the voice. He is an incredible artist."
Leanne Mitchell, Bo Bruce and Tyler James are still all in contention to become the first winner of The Voice UK.

It seemed to me that Jessie was so keen to give it her all that she wasn't working with Vince to showcase his vocal ability. The other judges seemed to me to rein in their own performances slightly so that they didn't overshadow their acts. Jessie J is great and I really like her but I think she overshadowed Vince.

She basically cause damage to the voting vince would have got by sounding like she was more interested in tyler than vince, i've heard of a lot of people switching there voting from vince to tyler as thats who it seemed Jessie J prefered to win.

It's a shame because he had the best performance of the night (with Jessie J on Nobodys Perfect)
