will.i.am has defended the fact that he has been travelling around the world in between Voice UK live shows, claiming that his coaching style doesn't rely on him spending all day with his acts. The Black Eyed Peas star has been criticised by some of his acts because of his lack of focus on them, according to The Mirror.

However, will played down claims that he doesn't care about the show as much as the other coaches, commenting: "I've just got a different approach. My coaching is, 'Hey, let's talk'."
Asked whether he was concerned his absences would affect the singers, he said: 'I'm not worried. I don't get nervous about not being here. It all depends on how you coach.
"If you focus on trying to unlock the magic within you, there's no coach and no rehearsal which can bring that."
will's remaining four acts on the BBC talent show are Joelle Moses, Jaz Ellington, Tyler James and Frances Wood.
This weekend's live show will see Team Jessie and Team Danny's acts singing live for the first time.

I am sure this show has many vocal coaches behind the scenes. The X Factor judges do not train their acts all of the time, it is common knowledge that they have a head vocal coach/team. Lets face it, Will.I.Am, Jessie J, Tom and Danny are the FACES of this show. I find it hard to believe that each team don't have their own dedicated vocal training crews. Whoever thought the coaches spend every waking hour with their team is sorely mistaken.

if you have natural raw talent you don't need to be coached ...its about making the right choices at the end of the day not down to the coach..and having an ability of being able to see the whole picture helps... not having restrictions...i have seen forced talent ! both on stage on t.v and on film sets. first hand and its pathetic.....there is a convey-er-belt that turns these wannabe's out every year from performing art colleges and rock schools across the country ...your either born with it or you learn the craft...by doing your years of a musical aprentership...on the stage...not in a class room.... that's for geeks and spoiled kids......and in the business its not about what ya know its who ya know and how far your prepared to stoop to get rewarded........ that's life in show-business....

It's unrealistic to assume these big international acts are going to take up full time jobs with the BBC.

I don't think the celebs are the voice coaches or choreographers. They picked the voices they liked, then fine-tuned the team they wanted. It's up to the singers to work with their coaches and other training/support team members to be ready. Even at university, the performance voice course means you work with the accompanist and specialist sometimes (language or specific style of music)... you meet your voice coach once a week... and you'd better be prepared to do what they told you... that preparation is done with other people though... not your coach... it's like football...the Head Coach can't be everywhere, so the team is broken up into units and they work with assistant coaches far more than the Head coach... In school, you learn from your teachers, not the Head Teacher/Principal. It's the same thing.
