"That wasn't my best moment, I have to say. But I just don't think the nation should be deprived of my natural assets," she said.
The 53-year-old actress added that she "probably wouldn't" have behaved similarly if she had her time on the show again.
Welch added: "To be honest, both my children said, 'Mummy, we'd have been more bothered if you'd been horrible to someone in there'."
Meanwhile, responding to allegations that she has recently cheated on husband Tim Healy, Welch simply said: "Everything's fine at home."

Julia Brown I also see what you're saying but on the other hand we can't pander to the abusers and live in some nanny- state in which we fear everything and anyone type culture or in other words like a virtual Daily Mail Newspaper. I'm not stating for one moment that we get so comfortable we walk about the streets with nothing on, not at all. I was only drawing another argument to the posters about the children being ashamed. I, for example, was brought up in an Irish Catholic household were nudity had a time and place and my mother remembers being told a story by one of my friends grandmothers; I went into her home and she walked about very freely in her bra this was not commonplace in my household and according to my friends Grandmother I spent the whole time with my mouth opened as that had never been part of my world. I understand abuse and the trauma but I don't for one second believe our 'ways' and freedom sho be modified(sp?) for abusers, that only gives them more power.

I agree Richard and the trouble is she is being given the thumbs up by her friends and others she is going to think it is ok but I do think she needs help and support from other avenues. I feel sorry for her in a way but only she can do it.....

Siobhán O'Donnell tbh I can see what you are saying but if we say to our young female children that it is ok to do this sort of thing, who will we stand up for if they are abused? We are giving the abusers an invitation imo. There is so much going on in the world that this isnt just a whim of an aging woman, we need to guide the youngsters so that each sex is protected.
