Big Brother's Lydia Louisa suggested tonight (June 29) that her eviction was partly down to her famous fiancée and personal success. The dancer was greeted by boos as she became the fourth contestant to leave the Big Brother house.

Asked by Brian Dowling why she thought she had been voted out, Lydia replied: "To be honest, I think I always expected it, I have to be honest.
"I thought coming on here, it was a massive risk for me. And I knew that just having someone who was in the public eye as a partner, and the stuff I'd done before, I know that some people... sometimes they don't like that kind of stuff.
"I just wanted to represent people my age that are successful or whatever."
When asked to elaborate on why Deana Uppal had been saved over her, she said: "I can't second-guess it, I've not seen it."
She went on: "I got saved once and I'm chuffed with that. I could have been gone in the third day.
"It would have been awful... For me, it's like, I've lasted nearly a month."
Lydia then clarified: "I am happy to be out, I was having a really hard time in there this week."

When asked whether viewers had seen the real Lydia, she replied: "I don't think you can be the real person in there. You try to be, but because it's so... intense, and because, you know, things are petty and you get, you know, it's not how you would be on the outside world."
After being shown footage suggesting that she had been plotting, the evictee explained: "I will always be perfectly honest, and because I got up in the first three days I knew I was an easy target and from then on it changed my thought process in there. I didn't feel like I could relax."
She said that she would remain friends with Benedict Garrett, Luke Anderson, Adam Kelly and Lauren Carre, adding that Sara McLean is a "lovely girl", but claimed: "The others were plotting and I felt like I had to do the same."
After denying that she had been trying to step out of Scott-Lee's shadow, the interview ended with Lydia hugging and kissing her fiancée while Brian Dowling assured her that the wedding was "still on".

I loved Lydia x

Excellent comment @The Vile Grin. You more or less summed up my feelings about her. I couldn't stand her but I agree she engineered her future situation extraordinarily well. I do wonder if she's not just a tad deluded though as all her talk of being chased by "paparazzi" seemed a little far fetched! Made me smile when Brian Dowling was asked ASL if he still wanted to marry her - he seemed to miss the point that ASL is as much of a media ***** as she is! He needs her notoriety just as she apparently needs his. Sad really.

Lydia was an interesting one, to be sure, and obviously has a very calculating mind. Every word she said in her post eviction interview seemed rehearsed and prepared for.
She was shifty, and annoying, it's true- even that clip of her that was shown in the cut-betweens ( the one where she did her "Oooh, I'm shocked" intake of breath")managed to annoy me- but I eventually thought I was being played by C5/BB, and they were merely giving us another version of the "House villain" that we all love to hate. It IS an entertainment show after all.
I do think she has a few delusions about her and her boyfriend's level of "fame" - I think she is a classic example of this new breed of fame-hungry wannabe's who will claw at any opportunity for some spotlight attention whilst firmly, and very vocally denying how much "celebrity status" they crave. As for "trying to step out of Scott-Lee's shadow", what shadow? hardly anyone has heard of, or remembers him, so it should't take a lot of effort. Good on her though for engineering her forthcoming Hello/Nuts coverage of her wedding though by getting the wheels in motion on TV.
