While the four male housemates tried to keep themselves busy by playing a game of 'oranges' in the garden, Josie seemed rather quiet, and spent a long time on her own in the bedroom.
The Bristolian was clearly missing her Australian ex-housemate, as she lay on her bed looking at a photo of him, before placing it on the pillow that he used to sleep on.
JJ asked the others if Josie was "alright", before David joined her in the bedroom.
Josie related to the minister, saying: "You've been here without your bloody wife, while I have one day without John James. What you must have gone through in here is bloody horrific."
She added: "I don't feel lonely. When you spend that amount of time with someone nearly every minute of the day, it makes you feel a bit empty."
The pair began speaking about John James, with David saying: "It was so sweet watching you two. I hope something cool happens to you both."
Josie replied: "He might not like me now." David responded: "Of course he will. I don't believe there was anything fake in him. He really thought the world of you."
When David asked if she would move to London if John James did, she said: "I'd move anywhere for him. I'd move to bloody Iraq!"
