Ryan O'Shaughnessy will progress to the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals, it has been confirmed.Viewers saw on the show's final auditions episode tonight (May 5) that Simon Cowell was forced to drop O'Shaughnessy from the competition, because of a contractual conflict with The Voice of Ireland.

O'Shaughnessy, whose song 'No Name' went viral following his audition for the show, had previously signed up for the rival Irish show, but was kicked out on his first night.
However, O'Shaughnessy will compete in the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals, despite Cowell's displeasure at the conflict.
"I'm over the moon to be through to the semi-finals," O'Shaughnessy told ITV's Britain's Got Talent site. "I was contracted to do another show, but I've since been released from my contract.
'I want to thank the judges for giving me a second chance. The reveal was such an emotional ordeal for me. I was fraught with nerves. I felt as though I'd let Simon down. Simon's somebody you want to please, so it felt awful to disappoint him.
'I'm looking forward to the live shows. I've been working on new material and focusing on the music."
The Britain's Got Talent semi-finals begin tomorrow (May 6) and run through until Thursday (May 10).

PREDICTABLE! Only reason they made a big deal about it was because they were already renegotiating his contract in the background - regardless of his skill he won't get my vote as I can't stick the preferntial treatment

He's not on Jobseekers. He's a student in Ireland. Glad he's getting another bit of exposure by getting through to the semis.
